Corner Stair Safety Post
Provides secure corner support for temporary edge protection to staircases and landings during construction. The base plate of the Corner Stair Safety Post is pre-drilled with four 7mm holes for fixing down to wood, concrete or steel staircases. The corner stair safety post is specifically designed to be fitted as a corner post and so comes fitted with a total of 6 cleats with 3 on each adjacent side of the post to allow the timbers to form a corner section. This product should be used in conjunction with our standard stair safety posts to form a complete edge protection system.
We would recommend the use of 6No. Stair Safety Posts on a standard staircase (3 on the landing and 3 on the stairs).
Base fixings to have a minimum pull out resistance of 1.40 KN (each). Post centres to be a maximum of 2m utilising a 44 x 144 C16 Timber, any joints should be half lapped at the post positions.

*Please note that Corner Stair Safety Posts are not required to form a complete edge protection system. It’s also possible to use just our standard Stair Safety Posts and form a corner by butting up the timber handrails.
