Following on from our AMAZING fundraising success over the last two years where we managed to raise a staggering £10k we are pleased to announce that for the next two years the FT Group will be supporting not one, but two charities.

The selected charities for 2020-21 are:

Both of these diseases affect families in different ways but there are no known cures for either condition. This makes it even more important to raise much needed funds for both charities so they can help to fund critical research into a cure and also to help those families affected.

The statistics for both these diseases are shocking. Estimates show there are over 130,000 people living with MS in the UK, and that nearly 7,000 people are newly diagnosed each year. Dementia is even more prevalent with currently around 850,000 people living with Dementia in the UK with 1 in 6 people over the age of 80 being affected. A huge 70 per cent of people in care homes have dementia or severe memory problems which we’ve seen over the years of working in the Care Home industry.

Throughout the year we’ll be doing several charity fundraising events from cake sales to sponsored abseils so please keep an eye on our social media platforms to keep updated with how we’re getting on!
